About Us

Please be patient. This web site (and this page itself) is very much a work in progress. Building a website is not like building a fence. When building a fence, you get to a point when you can dust your hands off and walk away. Fence building also provides a sense of satisfaction. At the end of the day, you can look back and see what you’ve accomplished. Will there ever be a time when I can put the finishing touch on this project?
This will serve to give those readers with sense of curiosity a bit of biographical information about us. I am a retired professional pilot who lived on a 180 acre farm near Wingate, Texas, USA. When it rained, we produced cotton, wheat, cattle and prickly pear. When it didn’t rain, we produced dust, rocks and prickly pear. I retired from federal civil service in August 2001. The farm, along with a small herd of Texas Longhorn cattle will be sold. As summer wears down to winter in the year 2005, we’re moving to south central Missouri. We’ve bought a small 15 acre place near Camdenton where we’ll make our home.
I grew up in central Kansas. My father and I harvested wheat until I graduated high school in (about) 1970 . That was the year I first left home by going on harvest.
After I retired, I started a small webhosting business aimed at rural small business owners. That page is located at:

I’ve been married to the same young lady for 22 years. Our son and his family live near Wichita, Ks.
